Relation-

• A set of ordered pairs

Domain-

• The set of all the outputs

Range-

• Is the set of all the outputs
• Y's

Function-

• A relation with the property that for each input there is exactly one output








Vertical Line Test-

• Says that if you can find a vertical line passing through more than one point

in a graph, then it passed the vertical line test





Linear Equation-

• An equation whose graph is a line









Function Form-

• An equation solved for "y"
  Ex: y= mx+b



X Intercept-

• The x-coordinate of a point where a graph crosses the x-axis








Y-Intercept-

• The y-coordinate of a point where a graph crosses the y-axis






Slope-

• Rise over run, change in y's over change in x's








Rise-

• change in y's



Run-

• change in x's








Slope intercept form-

• The form of a linear equation y=mx+b where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept
